Is there an imposter lurking in your shower?

Did you know that most store bought soap is not really soap?

Most of the cleansing bars that line the store shelves are detergents and not soaps at all. They are called syndet bars, or synthetic detergent bars. They are made
from synthesized chemicals and are usually much harsher than soap.

Handmade soap in its true form is made from natural oils such as olive, coconut, and palm. It gently cleanses away excess oils and bacteria, but doesn’t strip your skin of its natural oils.

Glycerin is a natural by-product of the soap making process and is important to skin care because it is a humectant. It draws moisture from the air, which in turn moisturizes your skin.

In most commercial soaps the glycerin is removed to be used for more profitable products such as lotions and creams. When it is removed it can leave you with dry, itchy skin.

We do not remove the glycerin from our handcrafted soap, so when you purchase soap from us, it contains all of the naturally occurring glycerin.

With our handcrafted soap you get a fabulous cleanser and a moisturizer all in one. There are no imposters here!
